Weekends can be crazy busy – So many things to catch up on, so many things we would each like to do, people we would like to see… It can seem like a never-ending cycle of mundane tasks that keeps us feeling drained and dissatisfied.
Recently, I have adopted a new technique. It’s changing my perspective on everything, and I’m going to share it with you.
Are you ready??
It’s not a new concept. But it is so very foreign to so many of us.
Slowing down looks different for everyone. But it’s about making room for yourself in your life. That Me-Time thing… Yes, you can have it. Just give yourself permission and mean it! If your inner well isn’t flowing abundantly, what can you afford to give to anything else?
For me, it currently means taking unnecessary pressure off of myself by making gentler, more loving goals. Today, I am simply setting my intention.
What does that mean?
Creating a declarative statement
to empower oneself to reach a goal.
- I will get the words down, on these pages, a minimum of 3 days a week.
- I will learn how to improve my pages as I write.
- I will employ those improvements in the work I perform on these pages.
- I will treat each effort with respect and love.
- I will gratefully celebrate every lesson gained in my progress.
See, I set my goals in line with my intention of progressing at a sustainable rate and nourishing myself throughout the process. I’ve accomplished a task, given it forward momentum, given it love and form. And now, I can enjoy some Me-Time!
Dear Reader, I ask you, what ways can you improve the quality of your life by reframing your perspective and giving yourself permission to slow down? Take a moment to think about it and you are already well on your way!
Have a Beautiful and Blessed Day,
